Custom fiberglass BFS trout rod flor cork gold leaf olive wood — Shimano calcutta conquest BFS with custom s glass rod

A new client came to me via instagram wanting a special custom s-glass BFS rod , after talking we decided on using olive wood and gold leaf set in resin over flor grade cork, the blank chosen was 5 ft 1-5g 3 piece in transparent white colour. Reel seat , guides and trim rings to be in gunmetal . This was the block we decided on for the project

After the custom reel seat insert and butt parts were made this was the quick video i sent to the client for approval, it shows the 3d effect of the metal trout and gold leaf set over flor cork, the parts were not glued yet

We then made the custom cork grip and foregrip , and decided to go one step further and add the olive wood trim ends , all completely sealed the same as the butt and insert . The handle was then glued up and ready for fitting the guides, fuji t2 gunmetal torzite titanium- the best! Wrapped with brown and gold thread. Hook keeper also whipped on. This is the completed rod
